In 2018 Floridians will elect a new governor and other state official, state legislators, a US Senator, and 27 House Representatives as well as county and city leaders. In addition, numerous Florida Constitutional Amendments will be voted upon. This is a special year as it will set the State leadership through the 2020 US Census and the expected redistricting of the state. Actions now can prevent a repeat of the horrendous Gerrymandering performed by the GOP as well as the disenfranchisement of over a million citizens. Their actions have here and in dozens of states led to minority rule in state legislatures and the US Congress. We must reclaim democracy! We must work to preserve the protection of people over corporate greed. Campaign 2018 begins in Putnam County on Thursday, November 9.
